RETIRED? is that anything like EXSPIRED? The good lord told me he would let me know when I was retired, so I just keep the lacquer thinner in my veins, pipe smoke in my lungs and that 12 pack on the week-ends assures me at least 20 or more years. Doug and Tetco's reports did'nt go back far enough to explain why micro-grit and roughing up fabric was needed at the time. When silk changed to polyesters, the tramsfer gelton films would not adhere, microgrit solved that problem. Then when emulsion replaced the transfer films, there was no more need for roughing up the fabric. This is progress and growth of an industry. The key here is to do everything to perfection, proper exposure of emulsions, proper removal of inks will make re-claiming easier and back to the original problem, reduce ghost image. If the good lords willing, I'll be back tomorrow. | |
