Better dleaning of the screens befor re-claiming is the best way to get rid of ghost image. You can get rid of ghost image witth Ajax or comet and it won't hurt your screens , you are merly cleaning the stain your seeing in the mesh. A ghost image shows up on a finished print, usually on a solid area and it is the image of a previous job ran with that screen. It's hard to explain in a few words but these cleansers have pumce in them that will not desolve in water or chemicals so I would'nt use them without high pressure washer that will force them out. Haze removers are good for breaking down the blockage in a screen when emulsion and ink get trapped, which can cause a ghost image, this is where a light film of ink covers wmulsion, it's water proof and stops the water chemicals from getting to the emulsion, in turn the emulsion also can block the the action of the screen wash chemicals because they are solvent resistant. Very confusing, better cleaning is the best solution. | |
