BECAUSE THEY DON'T LISTEN!!

As of today I have resolved to follow up all verbal communiques in writing (I probably won't but I like telling myself).

Wednesday I told a lady that I'd have her shirts ready for pick-up late afternoon around 4:30. Thursday I get this message on my machine 6:10 (after closing)...

"Hellooo...this is Mrs. So-and-so...call me back at #"

Each phrase had that irritating, sing-songish, upward inflection at the end.
I called her back.

"We're looking for our shirts (upward inflection). You said you'd deliver them today between 5:30 and 6."

WTF??? Not even close to what I told her! Suffice it to say I dropped the shirts off.

My turn...

"Mrs. So-and-so (upward inflection)...this is Tygeron...I'm looking for my F'n check...you said you'd deliver it buck-naked via purple elephant-with-pink-tutu at 4:38 this morning..."
