Marshall,

Congratulations on starting a recycling program for your company, making an effort to reduce power consumption and re-using obvious materials for the first time. Welcome to a movement called "common sense".

You'll notice that of all these "green" efforts you have made, each and every one (excepting perhaps the recycling) is of direct financial benefit to your company. But switching to non-toxic inks, the one major change that does not put tangible money back in your pocket is not an option.

Again, Preston was trying to tell you some intangible benefits to using pthalate-free; ones that don't pop up immediately at the bottom of a costing ledger. I was pointing out in no uncertain terms that the p.r. you're giving your co. regarding the environment is b.s. considering that you are not making efforts to go "beyond" legislation but are simply complying.

Nobody is trying to "flame" you away from interacting on these boards and if you can't take the heat generated by a fire that you lit yourself then I don't know what to tell ya. And who's anonymous here? You can get my full contact info with just a click or two.

Be careful with your words here: you essentially came on here complaining about handling pthalate-free inks and their expense and telling others to consider limiting their use of it. You got criticism for that on a couple points and, instead of addressing that you turn around and basically call me and Preston a couple of chicken-$hits since it's "easy to criticize others, especially in this type of format where everyone is pretty much anonymous..." and unprofessional ones at that.

Not a great way to make friends.... this board is about helping others and sharing info. A lot of us here might be called "progressive" screen printers in that we are always looking ahead and trying to improve our process in any way we can. So let's keep it "professional" around here and focus on moving forward and away from toxic components of this process, not crying about the increase in cost. Especially on the "green" board of all places.

-Chris
