Have you read up on what pthalates do to over-exposed infants/toddlers? It doesn't necessarily make them sick it blurs their sexual development as they grow. In the lab rats, it shrank the length of their taint and made other sexually distinct features of males and females fade off. I know you don't want yer kids turning out like that so what is it? You just don't buy the science of lab testing? Pthalates have a hormone-disrupting effect and yes, this effect can be passed from pregnant or nursing mothers, which makes me wonder why the hell we don't just ban this crap outright and phase out what's left. Read up on it. It's been banned in Europe for a long time. I'll be even more shocked if, after doing yer homework, you continue to print (underneath the home that houses your kids right?) with these inks. You're not losing anything making the switch. Like Preston says, co.s like QCM don't charge exorbitant prices for their ink because it's all old hat to them. Even from a pure $$$ viewpoint you need to realize that these will be banned eventually, even the EPA has already regulated on it in the past. It might not catch up to home-based operations but why risk it? ____________________ "Well I worked all Summer didn't save a cent, gave all my money to the government.
