  Hi,

I'm been experimenting with transfers, I have some cold peel paper, print the transfer and apply the adhesive then run it through the dryer so it's dry, it comes out at about 100 degrees C which is the correct gel temperature.

When I press the transfers to the shirt they look great, very clear and defined. I'm using about 380 degrees F to press them for 20 seconds.

However once they are all cooled down if I stretch the shirt the ink will crack, they are fully cured, there can be no doubt about that.

I suspect the problem is the adhesive, you can feel (from inside the shirt) that there is adhesive present and it looks like the ink is sticking to the melted powder, when I stretch them the ink stays with the adhesive as it cracks.

I did a wash on some of them before stretching and they look fine until they are stretched. They crack only when stretched, not during the wash which leads me to think it's not a curing problem.

Is this normal ? I do seem to remember someone posting on one of these boards that this can happen and if you need to use the adhesive for finer detail, etc then there is no way around it.

Any suggestions or is this the best that can be done ?

Thanks

Neil
