It got better but not good enough. The best was when I printed wet on wet and applied transfer powder, then presed at 330 with light-moderate pressure for 12 seconds. I'm beginning to think that it has something to do with the amount of ink in a halftone dot that is being pressed onto the shirt. I wonder if there is enough dot surface to make contact with the irregular surface (weave) of the fabric. This theory may have some weight since there is no problem whatsoever with solid areas. A bit of info I picked up on Transfer Express's site is that they warn that some special effects do no not reproduce well as a transfer. I wonder if that includes halftones. Does anyone know or think that a larger dot or a higher dot(thicker emulsion) may be required. Any thoughts? - Scotty | ||
