This is my first attempt at transfers. I'm using a 195 screen static aluminum that has been coated as I would normally coat a screen for a direct screen print. The design is two colors and both colors contain some halftones printed at 43 LPI. Printing the first color, flashing,second color, flash didn't seem to work too well. Too many areas of the halftone didn't adhere to the shirt with a temp of 385 and medium pressure for 12 seconds. So I printed the colors wet on wet and then applied transfer powder and no flash at any time. I tried pressing with the same temp at 20 seconds with medium, heavy, and extra heavy pressure. The print on the shirt looked great until it was washed and then many areas of the halftone washed out. Any ideas of what I'm doing wrong or what to try? Thanks - Scotty | ||
