Besides mirroring, (and your subsequent additional set-up) you will have to decide whether you want to print hot split or cold peel.
In the past, cold peel was the only way to go on darks, but I think that some of these are being hot split for softer hand now as well.

Read the ink specs. Some are designed for either direct print or hot split transfers. I think that there are also some additives for hot split. Cold peel is more forgiving and doesn't seem to care about ink much, especially if one adds adhesive powder.
