Mary, its a "fairly" easy task to code a system to render a font online. In fact my Free True Type Font Website has the ability your asking about. Sadly, you decided to create a new website that runs on a Windows Server, so the code base I use will not function on your server.

If you desire this function, you will need to hire a code developer who specializes in using Micro-shaft ASP code. Which is similar in function to the code I use...PHP, but using PHP is much more powerful, and costs a fraction of what it would cost to develop the same code in ASP.

Personally it would be much easier to simply render the top 50-100 fonts as jpg's or something and display them on your site as examples of the most popular fonts. Then have a link to several other font sites if your customers need a bigger selection....because what it still boils down too is that your customer will STILL demand a sample of the job anyway, so your STILL going to be required to make the art anyway.
