  Yeah, they are really easy to print. We are a sign shop too so I make platens out of scraps floating around. A Tortex pick happens to be the same thickness as our magnetic material and it makes printing really easy - I can e-mail you pics and instructions if you want.
Frogger is right about binders, I use nazdar 9700 on those, run them through the dryer at 110 degrees, fall into a box ready to go. I don't even change emulsion since I bought the powerwasher - takes two seconds to wash out.
Paper folders, like the ones at Wally World for .10ea are great to give customers paperwork and quotes in. If we can get a screen to it, we try to print it - If the screens won't work, we make one. Use your head and you'll figure it out.
