Boy thats a mouthful! I agree. Do not hide anything, but also do not invite these people out to your place...yet. You need to be really sure you understand each and every regulation that may possibly pertain to you.
Having the best of intentions will not stop these guys from ticketing you when they finally arrive and you discover there was something you didn't even know.

They will want to not only look at your shop water systems, they will also check you for any possible defects to regular building water systems. Be sure that you check things like hoses that run into dip tanke etc. Iwould...just to be sure than can never be a "question" of a cross connect....get a vacuum breaker for the screen room water....and always run drains from sinks into a catch tank first before running it to sewer.
You may not be sure yet what you want to happen in that catch tank (either settling, pre-treatment or active filtration)....but either way it shows city inspectors that you are not just dumping ANYTHING without a thought.

You will also have to have spill containment for that catch tank...and for all of your chemicals. Lots to think about! Ray
