About the same thing will happen either way. The servo has to move the same mass as the air version with the same speed or better. You can get crunched either way.

Actually, while the potential for injury is substantial for both types of indexers, I have never seen an air indexed press that I could not stop, or hold in place with my own two hands.

However, at the same time I have never come across a press that had a servo indexer that I could stop. Simply stated a servo indexer has vastly more power...and potential for injury.

I could most likely get away with a slight injury if say I was between print heads on an air indexed press if it was indexed....but a servo indexed a press is a trip to the Emergency Room for sure!
