I've had my 8x4 V2000 for about 7.5 years and not had the first problem with the gas lifters, or anything else for that matter. Just checked their site, and the lifters are about $36.00. That's not too bad, and I doubt all of them would fail at the same time. Like I said, in almost 8 years I haven't had a problem, and honestly, my press is a mess. Spray adhesive for the first 3 years gummed everything up, but the lifters are still like new.
