im getting the same thing with 10.4.3, illustrator sc2, on my r1800. I have been running fastrip 8.5 for a few years now on a mac ppc with osx 10.4.3. and it has been running fine forever on my epson r1800. I uninstalled fastrip 8.5 and installed version 9 (the power pc version that is for 10.5 and below). My problem is when I try to print out of illustrator I go thru my normal settings: choose fastrip printer, choose paper size, set the printer feature to print at 720 TD 45lpi, choose the proper pantone, angle, lpi, and hit print. Fastrip opens, spools, and gives me an error. I figured out that if I go thru that same process, and leave the printer features set to default instead of choosing 720 TD 45lpi, then it prints. I've tried selecting the 720 SD 45lpi, the 720 DD 45lpi, as well as many others and it errors out everytime (unless i just leave it set to the default and dont choose any density and frequency setting.) How do I then control the density and lpi if this is acting like this? Is there a fix? I uninstalled fastrip and the epson r1800 driver, and went as far as resetting the printing system (in the native mac printer app). I then reinstalled the epson driver and fastrip and added the epson r1800 printer and added the fastrip printer (as described in the manual) and the error persists. Ive uninstalled, rebooted, then reinstalled many times to no avail. PLEASE HELP ME! I'M TOTALLY SCREWED HERE! | ||
