Greetings All, I recently purchased a FastRIP Classic Software Kit that I believe is designed to run on a Mac. I know nothing about Macs and am hoping someone here might stear me in the right direction in which operating system this software will run on and about which computers use or will run that OS. I'm sure this is an older version of FastRIP and would appreciate any info anyone might share about updates available and the improvements between the two. This is labeled Standard Output for Epson 1520, 2200 and 3000. Mac OS 8.6 - 9.2.2 Classic Edition. Does this mean it will only work with these three printers of which I have several of the 3000 but also have several of the Epson 1280. Might I also use it with the 1280? Which Mac Operating System will this run on? Is it saying the version needs to be between Version 8.6 and 9.2.2? If so are there any downloadable updates that would bring this software more up to date so it will run on the newer operating systems? My last question for now is, about what type of Mac should I be looking for to run this version of the software? If it is older software but none the less worth using should I be looking for an older Mac or a newer one in which I would have to install an older operating system on but have more speed etc.?
