I've got some I made from granite. Not as durable (if you drop one) or lightweight as aluminum but they will never ever warp. Since I used to be a stone and tile contractor and have the tool to fabricate stone into countertops, it was not very expensive...just my labor. Try calling a local granite countertop fabricator and ask them to quote you a price using 2cm (3cm causes too much weight on the arms)drops from black (i.e absolute black) or a dark brown (i.e. baltic brown) granite. You'll specify an 'eased' edge. Also, they'll most likely have to drill and mount your brackets for you too. You should get out of there with less than $50 per. with your own brackets. | |
