The question I would ask is when is the last time you did an exposure test? It sounds like two things might have happened, one is what Richard said about the emulsion going bad, the second is exposure times versus what mesh screen your using. Until someone told me, I thought all screen meshes were the same when it came to exposure times. Not true, I did an exposure test and came up with times for my 110 screens, 160 screens, 230 screens and 305 screens. They are different by almost 30 seconds from one another. Also, I use qx-1 and like it a lot. I use black flourescent bulbs in my exposure unit, and until something happens to show a change is needed, I will use 1:34 for 305's, 2:02 for 230's, 2:36 for 160's, and 3:07 for my 110's. I have not used an exposure unit with a 1K light, so I don't know how this would affect the times, but if I differ from these, my screens don't come out well at all. Just my two cents. I would also see something like this if I bought a new screen and didn't degrease it real good before using it the first time.
