While the age of the mixed emulsion is most likely your problem, you simply can not store ANY emulsion or even a coated screen in a space where the temps exceed 85 degrees.

Heat, like light will start the process of cross linking the polymers and ruin the emulsion. Also you should not be pouring off your emulsion into another container. While its a little harder to pour from the bucket, with some work you will get it down. Keeping it all in one container will ensure that you can properly store the emulsion and ensure that contamination,, heat, humidity or simply air is minimized.

One other thing that virtually everyone neglects to perform is to simply WRITE THE DATE OF MIXING on the container. I am not sure if the new Ulano containers still have a place on the container for this, but they used too. This way you know EXACTLY how old you emulsion is. Also, if your not using water-based inks, and you are not using the entire gallon of emulsion inside a month, then you should consider the use of an SBQ Photopolymer emulsion since the shelf life is exceptionally long.
