Gildan, This letter is to inform you that the quality of your product has diminished to the point that the Gildan brand in general and Gildan tee shirts in particular are no longer worth handling. We have been using Gildan tee shirts for about five years and have seen the decline firsthand. There is enough rejected product in house to prove my allegations. I'm arranging for a chemist to analyze the myriad of spots and stains that are regularly appearing on your garments, most of them after going through the dryer. Your ploy of not accepting returns on garments that have been printed place you in the position of fraud as you are representing that you are selling first run goods. We experience failure rates of your product as high as 30% to 50% mostly due to the little brown spots which appear after going through the dryer and to most reasonable people this is not the standard of first run merchandise. We have lost tens of thousands of dollars in production time by handling and rehandling your product and in turn Gildan tee shirts have lost all credibility in this shop. I will attempt to prove that flaws in your manufacturing process are the cause of the spots. Once we determine the origin of these defects you can count on seeing me in court. This is not an idle threat, it is an actual course of events which is unfolding as we speak. I apologize for taking this course but Gildan and our distributor has stonewalled us on this subject and too much money has been lost to let this fade away. Should you care to establish contact and open a meaningful dialog you may reach me at 812-232-5046. Sincerely, Steve Mankin, Owner T Shirt1 1327 Wabash Ave Terre Haute, IN 47807 [Edited on 8/29/08 by swmankin] | |
