I frequently get customers who claim that they are "short", but when I investigate a little more I realize that we did not short them, that they just did not order enough to begin with. If they pick up on the fact that they think you are doubting how many you printed, they will try to get a few extra shirts out of you for free. I once delivered post cards to a customer, while I was having her sign the delivery slip I noticed that they had more names on their mailing list (it was on the desk) than they have ordered postcards. Sure enough, two days later I get this call and they were claiming that we shorted them. I told the lady that I was pretty sure that we had not shorted them and asked her to check the size of her mailing list just to make sure that it only had the same number of names as they had ordered cards. She said she would (she knew she was caught), and I never heard back from her. | |
