There are plenty of people who could help you out, but as Wayne said, be prepared to dig deep into your pockets. My price would probably start at a few grand... But I'm not necessarily offering. Your cheapest route is probably to take your best/brightest artist and let them run a few (6 or 10 should be adequate) 12 color jobs through, handling everything from start to finish, changing out the botched screens or completely re-separating each job once or twice to make it -perfect-, and hopefully learning from your mistakes in the process. Nothing beats first hand experience with YOUR inks on YOUR equipment in YOUR shop. A 2 hour training session with a pro, while helpful, will always fall short of real world experience... As painful and time consuming as that may be. I also recommend that the artist spend their time registering, mixing inks, printing the job, and otherwise being hands-on with EVERYTHING resulting from their seps. Nothing else teaches you what NOT to do quite like a little negative reinforcement. No pain, no gain; I say you can only obtain -true- separation enlightenment whilst in a state of RAGE brought on by intolerable frustration and self disappointment. | |
