I'm wanting to build a small vacuum platen to use on my old lawson 4/1. All I want to do is print basic (1 or 2 color max) bumper stickers. i'd like to print choroplast yard signs too, but that may be tough. I'd like to know if anybody has done this with good results? Would I be better off just using hinge clamps on a table instead of using a press? I don't see many used ones for sale, and the new ones are like 600 bucks at least. seems high to me.
