First off, you need to forget the textile printing method. No wet on wet with epoxy, match the color to a pms color, you need a vacume printing table, build up around the glass to the same thickness, use a 230 mesh for the black reverse print, tight screen, print off contact, retard the ink so you get a clean break. Let the ink dry 24 to 48 hours befor over printing the copy color. NazDar epoxy is the best around but does'nt reach a full cure for 7 days, you can usually handle it after 1 day. I would adjust the mesh and ink viscosity to get best results, rather than a double stroke. If double stroke is necessary, be sure your screen is blocked on borh sides. I would mix the color befor adding the catylist, then mix only what you will use in a two hour period, it has a shelf life after mixed. Print keeping a flood coat on the screen between impressions, print speed is iimportant, at least 4 to 5 pieces per minute. Good Luck and welcome to the wonderful world of screen printing. | |
