My suggestion is.....come over to Preston's boards - http://boards.screenprintersopen.com and pose your question there. Preston was an electrician in a previous life and can probably give you more info than I can on the power consumption and ease of changeover. He did it when I was thinking of building one with quartz bulbs. Preston does not come here anymore and a lot of the regulars from here have moved on due to the damaging activities of a Mr. Robert Barnes about 5 months back when he was taking over the boards and has since filed for bankruptcy protection.
