Ok, long story short, I bought a dryer for a really good price that needs a little work. It's a HIX dryer originally designed to dry large flat signs. The heating elements are arranged as in figure 'B' of the image below. They are old school metal heating elements that have a little trouble maintaining temperature while loaded up with shirts. I'm looking to upgrade to Quartz elements for the ease of swap and low cost to upgrade. My question is what location do you all believe will be best for the elements? It would be easiest to just replace low-mount elements and be done, but I'm considering moving them up above the belt if there are enough benefits or if you guys think they will be more efficient up high? I know the workhorse quartz dryer elements are above the belt, but I wonder if that is based on ease/cost/maintenance or if that really is the best location for them. Thanks in advance for the input.
