385 is probably too high. The ink melts and turns back into a liquid at about 360 degrees. That will boil off the liquid compounds and the remains are dry ink that won't hold up to washings very well. Heat tape will tell you how hot your dryer is, but not if the ink is cured properly. laser heat guns will tell you how hot the surface temp of the ink got, but not if it's cured where the ink meets the thread. The only real way to test cure is a multiple wash test. 5-6 times and compare it to a tee not washed.
