I also just bought 1400 for dye sub use. I opted for refillable carts as opposed to the bulk ink system. Mainly to try ans see if it is worth the effort of changing the carts whenever I need it. I'm currently doing this with my 1280 and find it beneficial when it comes to minimizing head clogging.
