Steven, I need to disagree. Papers and inks are both critical to success. I use Spectrabrite, which is a private label of TJ2 and pigment inks. Other papers such as MagicJet are the same type. While the initial hand is more noticed about 3 or 4 washes and it is very acceptable. Just enough paper remains to keep the inks bonded but not so much you really feel the hand. I am currently using a 4880 and the Epson K3 inks and getting transfers that are vibrant and have excellent wash. I have also used 3rd party pigment inks with the Spectrabrite paper as well with great results. I have sold thousands of shirts and my customers are very happy. I'm not alone in this, over at Don Fords board http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Heat_Transfers_For_Desktop_Printers/ hundreds of other users will tell you the same thing. In your post you refer to previously ... Claria based inks are dye based and should not be used for tshirts, Epson is in the ink business, not the tshirt business.
